Interesting facts about fruit in Japan
Fruit is not all that common in Japan and most of the ones that are available in the country are imported. That, however, doesn’t mean that it isn’t popular in Japan because it is and very much so. It’s just that Japanese view fruit – especially the ones grown to perfection in Japan as luxury items, thus they cost much more than they do in the West and they are more likely to be bought as gifts for loved ones, relatives and business partners.
