Interesting facts about bee’s in Japan
The Apis cerana is a type of East-Asian honeybee that is native to Japan. What’s interesting about these bee’s is that although they produce less honey than European bee’s, they are more efficient because they forage for longer and have the ability to pollinate a wider variety of plants.
They also far more resistant to colder temperatures than other types of bee’s from around the world because they can pollinate in temperatures as low as 10°C (50°F).
